Located on the coastline of Lisbon, more specifically Estoril/Cascais, Estoril Sol Residence has been voted and recognized as the most prestigious residential building in Portugal, as well as the best place to live in the country, due to its noble & prestigious location, luxurious spaces, architecture, and the history behind its conception.
THE DEVELOPMENT
With only 110 exquisite apartments ranging from 2 to 5 bedrooms, the project encompasses a landscape intervention in the Parque Palmela areas adjacent to the Condominium. The urbanistic concept includes new access ways, the construction of underground parking and the incorporation of pedestrian and cycle ways.
The connection to the `Paredão` (walk way by the sea and the beach) will be privileged with direct access tunnels from the condominium. Furthermore to the humanistic concerns, the relevance of the Parque Palmela `is present in the all Project` assures the architect Gonçalo Byrne who is signing the project in association with the a carefully designed and landscaped Condominium garden where high quality botanic species can be found. In this way the development coexists in a healthy and harmonious manner with Parque Palmela.
The building embodies three glass towers, with 60m of height, and a total of 15 floors , interconnected by a suspended block in the form of a brige. All apartments have direct sea views as well as view to the park. Although never activelly advertised, this building has currently 95% of the apartments sold, both to national and international investors.
• In the most noble area of the Cascais Bay. On of the most valued in Portugal. • Between the Parque Palmela and the Atlantic Ocean. • Closed Condominium. • Direct private access from the condominium to the sea side promenade. • Sea facing heated outdoor infinity edge swimming pool. • Indoor heated swimming pool. • Security Central. • Concierge service. • Air conditioning system allowing for cooling and heating simultaneously different rooms. • Specially developed façade and isolation system. • Unique landscape and flora project with liaison to Parque Palmela. • Absolute tranquillity. • The upmost comfort and well being.
HISTORY
Inaugurated on the 15th January 1965, with 310 rooms, in 16 floors, during almost 40 years the Hotel Estoril-Sol was one of the most luxurious hotels in Portugal. A symbol of Cascais and the Estoril Coast, for decades the Hotel Estoril-Sol was the stage of fascinating histories.
Very prestigious and elegant, the Hotel Estoril-Sol brought annually to Cascais thousands of tourists. The hotel was chosen by many international personalities like, Grace Kelly, Fred Astaire, Ray Charles, Bing Crosby, John Wayne, Gilbert Bécaud, Jorge Amado, Jorge Luis Borges, Elis Regina and many other international and national personalities.
As time goes by the hotel became dated and not able to satisfy the requirements of the present days. Today exactly where Hotel Estoril-Sol was king, in the exquisite Estoril Coast, a brand new luxurious residential project has been announced, produce of the pen of the renowned Architect and Professor Gonçalo Byrne one of the icons of the Portuguese modern architecture.
More than a love declaration, the new development represents a natural revelation that life flows in an eternal movement and in that continuous and dynamic transformation process, `nothing is lost it can all be transformed`. Like the wise man say. Like the dreams and realisations of the optimists, those that live and believe in happiness.
